Privacy notice
What we do with the details you give us, in plain words.
In this example nothing is collected. The forms and the planner run inside your browser only. Nothing you type or attach is sent, stored or seen by anyone. This site sets no cookies and has no tracking. The text below shows what a real privacy notice for this workshop would say.
Who is responsible
Kentlow Joinery Ltd, 1 Example Street, Kendal, Cumbria. Email hello@kentlow.example, phone 01632 960418.
What we collect and why
- When you ask for a quote or send a message: your name, phone number, email, your town, what you write, any measurements and any photos. We use them to reply, prepare an estimate and arrange a measuring visit (steps before a contract, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)).
- When we do a job: your address and the work done, for the drawings, the fixed quote and the invoice (contract, Article 6(1)(b), and the records tax law requires, Article 6(1)(c)).
- When you ask about work experience or apply for a job: the details you send, to reply and to consider your application (Article 6(1)(b)). For anyone under 16 we ask a parent or carer to be involved.
Who sees it
Only our team. Our website host and our email provider process the data for us under a written contract. We never sell your details or pass them to marketing firms.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become a job: 12 months. Job applications: 6 months. Invoices and job records: 6 years, as the tax rules require.
Your rights
You can ask to see your details, correct them, or have them deleted where the law allows. Email us and we reply within a month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
